hi, Just a quick line!

I've fumbled across this site (could have some real potential)

been in the music busines serveral years - semi retired, meaining I now only work on my own projects (recording)

I specialized in budget recordings in my time (what ever that means these days)

Background, musician -> producer -> project manager -> studio owner -> retired (from recording) -> IT/communications systems consulting and now back into it, to create a label and distribution.

I've seen a lot of changes in the industry over the past 15 years due to affordable tech gear, internet, social networking

my suggestion or thought why not developed a music label membership where someone like myself could use a site like this, integrating API's as a store front and of course distribute signed royalties to respected bodies.

I am generally interested in Australian artist and more specific "live" solo, 3 pce, 4-6 pce rock artist or anybody that is willing work and perform on tours.

Although I believe sites like this one does have a great place in any musician’s marketing plan, I also believe some aspects of the music industry is generally missing,

eg, the basic understanding of sharing and streaming without a real support system to promote and create an income for unsigned artist who are serious about what they do.

as an unsigned artist, I wouldn’t use social networks to share (other than demo's) even if I have the opportunity to make "sales" (only a personal thought)

as a label I could use a site like this as a store front, and still allow artist to customize their own online promo pages with the opportunity to direct their own online traffic to the POS.

in general a label can perform the offline marketing/promotion/distribution and “warm blooded” support an online network is unable to do.
Image a label with national airplay across Australia, regular weekly/daily reviews and play outs ending with promo tags……head to www.f3music.com link to “label XX” to get the latest
Or live gigs with www.f3music.com signage and sponsored adds
Check out “label xx” latest charts at www.f3music.com

anyhow just a thought and cheers
